The Beginning of the Alliance EFC
July 1980 - The mother church committee was formed in Lexington, NE with the targeted city of Alliance where an estimated 58% of the community was unchurched.
August 1980 - The fourteen mother churches called church planting Pastor Sam Reed and his wife Barbara.
January 1981 - The Reeds move to Alliance with the goals of leading people to Christ and identifying believers for Bible study.
September 1981 - Public worship begins in Marion Residence Hall with thirteen in attendance.
June 1982 - The congregation moved to the Whistle-Stop Day Care with an average of thirty in attendance. A three-man provisional board was established.
March 1983 - Twelve adults commit to charter membership.
January 1985 - Church planting pastor Sam Reed resigns with the completion of the constitution only to be called as the first pastor of the new church.
February 1985 - Evangelical Free Church of Alliance granted full autonomy by the Midwest District of the Evangelical Free Church of America.
October 1985 - The church held two weeks of "revival" meetings with John Musser in a rented abandoned church building at 611 Cody (the present home of the church).
June 1989 - The church shared the rented building with the Spanish Assembly of God Church throughout the summer and into the late fall.

The Second Decade for Alliance EFC
March 1990 - Ten weeks of "revival" meetings with the Anders Family Christian Ministry begin with attendees from twenty-two churches in Alliance and a four-state area attending--approximately 900 decisions for Christ or re-dedications of lives.
April 1990 - A missions tithing policy was approved by the congregation with 10% of general offerings committed to missions and outreach.
September 1991 - Celebration of 10th anniversary of the first worship service with fellowship role of 110 and average attendance of 75.
March 1993 - Hosted a "Resolving Personal and Spiritual Conflicts" seminar led by Dr. Timothy Warner and attended by 65 people.
August 1994 - The church called its second pastor, Dan Parrish and his wife Jeanne, by unanimous vote to replace Pastor Sam Reed who resigned and moved in May to shepherd a church plant in Superior, NE.
December 1994 - Upon the unanimous vote of the congregation, the church building at 611 Cody is purchased for $44,000 to be paid over five years.
March 1995 - Church celebrated with a special installation of Pastor Dan Parrish and a dedication of its recently acquired building.
January 1997 – Pioneer Club for children started with 20 children attending the first meeting.
July 1998 – Congregation votes to revise the by-laws to include Elder and Deacon Boards in place of the former Deacon and General Board.
March through October 1999 – The church body takes an active part in the community-wide “Pray for every household in Alliance”.
September 1999 – Pastor Dan Parrish resigns his position and accepts a call to ministry in Michigan.

October 2003 – The congregation votes to proceed with a special Ministry Campaign under the direction of the National Office of the EFCA.

May 2010 -Celebration of the revised vision and mission of the church with the unveiling of the wall art.
August 2011 – The Church welcomed Pastor Art Smith as its fourth Senior Pastor.
October 2013 - The Church called Dan Terrell to become the first full-time Youth Pastor in January 2014.
May 2010 -Celebration of the revised vision and mission of the church with the unveiling of the wall art.
